Eisenhower’s Braedyn Blasi – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by WSU Tech

By Ken Hansard

Last year, Goddard Eisenhower senior Braedyn Blasi was awarded 2 nd team all-league honors in the AVCTL’s Division II. This year, Blasi, a left defender for the Tigers, is looking to cash in on his past work and hopes that he and his team can achieve even greater success.

Following an 8-9 record last year that saw the Tigers exit early from the playoffs, Eisenhower currently owns a record of 7-7, and Blasi hopes that this and the closeness of his team will translate to a deeper playoff run as this season’s playoffs approach. But more than anything, Blasi is just looking to enjoy the ride during his final year, and when asked what he was most excited about going into this season, he replied, “I am simply looking forward to having fun with my teammates.”

In addition to soccer, Blasi loves to spend time in the weight room.  He also wrestles for the Tigers and is a three-time state qualifier who has additionally been named to the honorable mention All-AVCTL team.

As for plans beyond the walls of Eisenhower High School, Blasi has lofty goals, but he also has a solid plan in mind for attaining his goals: “I plan to go into Clinical Psychology, which means I will be in a college for quite a while. But I am excited for my future, and as of right now, I am considering starting out at Kansas State University.”
